Food Storage

Living in Florida we have a high risk of natural disaster like a lot of other countries or states that surround us. Food storage is essential to life in case of emergency situations. Shelf Reliance is a great way to help with your food storage since they have a long term shelf life unlike your regular grocery store items.

A little about us

I wanted to update my blog. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this site so I have decided to use it as a Journal entry. I'm not sure what I'll put in it or not. But I will update it at least once a week and try to keep it up. As most of you know life gets in the way as well as kids. I will do my best to at least up date pictures for my family and friends who live so far away.

Well just a little about what's going on with us. Steven is working hard and trying to help with the family business. Although work is very slow Steven keeps trying and has such a positive outlook on things his faith has not wavered and he keeps it strong, sometimes for the both of us.

As for myself, I have picked up a babysitting job, the little boy I watch is very cute his name is Nicholas and he's very well behaved. Between the both of them I have my hands very full, they love to explore the house and see how everything works. Sometimes I feel like I've spent all day just cleaning up after them. Nick follows Jordan everywhere she goes even to the bathroom, she gets a little upset only because she's not used to it. I keep telling her she needs to get used it because there will be a time where she'll have another sibling doing the same thing. I do enjoy watching another child it has been a blessing in keeping me in check with my patience, and endurance. I also know that this is a great way for me to know my weakness and strengths with two children verses one.

Jordan is a little rascal. Her favorite thing is to lay around the house naked. I am continually putting clothes on her and when I turn around she is taking them off. I wish there were clothes that you can just glue onto them so they can't take them off until bedtime. She has learned to count to 20 except she misses her 8's and 18's go figure on that one. She has learned her ABC's and their sound, at night when I read to her she'll tell me that she wants to read to me, after the first page of sounding the words out she's done. At least she tries. She loves to cook especially eggs, but doesn't like to eat them. There are times where I wish she was older so she can take over the cooking for me, but I don't want her growing up fast then what she is now. Jordan is my spitfire gal. I love her so much and there are times where I cry over how blessed I have been to have her in my life. I wish at times that I could take back time to start over with her and have her as a newborn again. Especially at times when she is out of control (nap time). She's my baby no matter how I look at things and she'll always be my baby.

As far as the Meadows Family we have started our Family Home Evening every Monday night for the past 2-3 months. We have his brothers Kevin and Spencer and their families participating, we take turns at each others homes and provide dessert. We make it short and sweet and to the point since we have little ones and their attention span is not long. We have also been active in our nightly family prayers. I have been trying to read the scriptures to Jordan and there are some nights that it works and some nights that she cries and says "No Jesus stories". Our goal as a family is to be a good example to one another and especially to Jordan.

I want to let you all know that I appreciate Steven and his hard work. I also know that when we go through trials we are being taught by our Savior, its what we take from our trials that will strengthen us and draw us closer to our Savior through our faith.
